ABERDEEN — Betty Sue Spencer, 71, died April 6, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, at Friendship Baptist Church, with Rick Burton, Rev. Charles Coggins and Jack Dauphin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30-2:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Spencer was born Aug. 25, 1950, in West Point, to the late Hubert and Sadie Mae Fairley Coggins. She attended Aberdeen School and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Marth Coggins “Tuffy” Mobley; and one grandchild.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Spencer Sr.; sons, Bill Spence of Smithville and Nathan Spencer; sisters, Linda Coggins Record of Aberdeen, Dorothy Coggins Harris of Cedar Bluff, Mary Ann Coggins Robertson of Aberdeen and Diane Coggins Clardy-Malone of Hamilton; brother, Hubert Coggins Jr. of Aberdeen; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
