COURTLAND — Betty Lois Fulgham O’Brian died Sept. 7, 2018, at her residence. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Double Springs Baptist Church in Maben with the Rev. Dickey Bryan and the Rev. Gene O’Brian officiating. Burial will follow at Double Springs Methodist Cemetery. Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville and one hour prior to services at the church. Welch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. O’Brian was born to the late John W. and Lena Fulgham and was formerly the owner of O’Brian’s Personal Care Home in Starkville. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Dink O’Brian Sr.; sister, Margie Fulgham; and brothers, Gene Fulgham and Bobby Fulgham. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Edwards of Courtland and Melecia A. Swedbergh of Munford, Tennessee; sons, George Dink O’Brian Jr. of Columbus and John E. O’Brian of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Bertie Harpole of Brandon; brother, John M. Fulgham of Maben; seven grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
