LOS ANGELES, Calif — Benny G.Hoskins, 61, died Jan. 24, 2023.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Greater Ebenezer M.B. Church, with Carlos Orr officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Visitation was two hours prior to services at the church. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hoskins was born May 7, 1961, to the late George Hoskins Jr and Lucille Straughter-Hoskins. He was a graduate of Aberdeen High School, a member of First Church of God, formerly employed at a Security Office and In-Home Support Assistant, and served in the United States Army.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by siblings, Esteria Hoskins and Johnny C. Hoskins.
He is survived by his mother, Lucille Hoskins of Aberdeen; children, Jason Moton of Tupelo, Servantez Hoskins of Southaven, Cecilia Tumblin of Houston, Chelsea Nicole Franks of Louisiana, and Amber Osbourne of Tupelo; siblings, Eddie Hoskins, Sandra Walker and Lue Ella Hoskins-Stephens of Aberdeen; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kevin Straughter, Curtis McMillian, Percy Morgan, Willie McMillian, Chris McMillian and Bradford Doss.
