Barbara Thompson, 42, died Feb. 8, 2009, in Columbus. Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ with the Rev. Steven James officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation is today from 1-6 p.m. at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus. Ms. Thompson was born May 18, 1966, to Susie Thompson and Moses James. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughters, Stephanie, Jennifer, Victoria and Ashely Thompson, all of Columbus; sons, Antonio and Jason Thompson, both of Columbus, and Cory Thompson of Virginia; brothers, Jimmy, Will, Lonnell, Anthony, and Steven, Moses Jr. and Ke Oke James; sisters, Betty, Kelly, Rita, and Carol Bishop, Jean Ann Johnson and Katrina Womack; and 17 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
