AMORY — Barbara Wigginton Branham, 74, died June 5, 2009, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. Services are today at 2 p.m. at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with the Arlis Lee, Tommy Whaley and Benny Loveless officiating. Burial will follow at Haughton Memorial Park. Visitation will be today until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Branham was born Feb. 27, 1935, in Monroe County to late Edward and Cleo Dill Wigginton. She worked for Glenn Manufacturing and Amory Garment Co. before retiring. She was a member of Gregory Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Branham; sister, Sue Wigginton Hathcock; and an infant brother. She is survived by her sons, Charley Branham of Amory and Robert Culpepper of Okolona; daughters, Jenny Tacker of Smithville and Felecia Higgins of Amory; brothers, Hubert and James Wigginton, both of Smithville; sisters, Marie Sanderson and Fay Pearson, both of Amory, and Mildredge Kendrick of Smithville; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Andy Farrar, Jim and James Ray Taylor, John Mills, Kenny Gilmore and Jerry Simmons. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 60197 Parham Gin Rd., Amory, MS 38821.
