REFORM, Ala. — Audie Posey Whitley, 90, died May 30, 2009, at her residence. Services are Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform with the Revs. Larry Shelton and Dan Finney officiating. Burial will follow at Center Springs Cemetery in Gordo, Ala. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Whitley was born April 4, 1919, in Fayette County, Ala., to the late Rufus and Ellie Mae Corr Posey. She was a homemaker, a member of Arbor Springs Baptist Church and attended Disciples New Beginning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Whitley; daughter, Lillie Whitley; one sister and four brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Nona Faye Wood and Billie Wheat, both of Wetumpka, Ala., Barbara Bibee of Reform, Ala., and Betty Wagner of Warrington, Pa.; son, George Robert Whitely of Reform, Ala.; sister, Gertrude Sutton of Gordo; brothers, Robert and James Posey, both of Gordo; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Danny, Jonathan and Mark Posey, Chuck McDonough, Shawn Stone and Ethan Simpson.
