STARKVILLE — Ardis Florine Spence Spivey, 93, died Sept. 16, 2018, at OCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Welch Funeral Home with the Rev. Sara Jo Adams Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at the Lebanon Cemetery in Decatur with the Rev. Christopher Harrison officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30-1 p.m. prior to services. Welch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Spivey was born to the late James Henry Spence and Annie Lucille Sadler Spence. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Spivey Sr.; son, the Rev. Dr. Ronny D. Spivey Sr.; sister, Dorothy Reese Spence Spivey; and brother, Robert Hugh Spence. She is survived by her son, Robert E. Spivey Jr. of Starkville; daughter, Saundra Spivey Hutton of Pearl; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
