DETROIT, Ala. — Annie Laura Scott, 92, died May 6, 2009, at Marion Regional Medical Center-Hamilton, Ala. Services are today at 2 p.m. at Norwood Funeral Home Chapel in Sulligent, Ala., with Bro. Jeff Scott and Bro. Edward Puckett officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Scott was born in Lamar County, Ala., to the late Thomas and Jeffie Lonnie Danner Blaylock. She was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church and had lived in the Shiloh and Detroit area all of her life. She retired from Detroit Slacks as a seamstress and inspector. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theren Scott; son, Lesley Scott; two brothers; five sisters; one grandson and one great-grandson. She is survived by her daughters, Anita Huffstuttler of Adel, Ga., and Annette Scott of Detroit, Ala.; sisters, Mary Lou Ford of Greenwood Springs, Alvie Huffstuttler of Kenosha, Wis., and Jean Brown of Birmingham, Ala.; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ben and Tim Scott, Dewayne Ford, Jackie Irvin, Johnney Randolph and Charles Clifton.
