MACON — Annie B. Draper, 89, died May 4, 2009, at Noxubee County General Hospital. Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Macedonia MB Church with the Rev. Johnny L. Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Macon. Visitation is today from noon-5 p.m. at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Macon. Mrs. Draper was born Jan. 12, 1920, in Deerbrook to the late Rev. Frank Clay Jr. and Lulabell Walton Clay. She was a member of the Macedonia MB Church choir, and for many years she was the Sunday school teacher and secretary of the Missionary Society. Since 1997, she has served as the Mother of the church. She was a member of Noxubee County Home Demonstrator’s Agency. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Arthur Draper; son, Kenneth Draper; daughter, Annie Will Draper; sisters, Lulabell Clay, Sally Davis, Edna L. Sykes and Mary C. Tate; brothers, George, Joseph and Robert Clay; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Eddie C. and Robert A. Draper, both of Macon; daughters, Ola Draper Stark of Chicago and Dr. Vivian Draper of Tupelo; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
