STARKVILLE — Annette Brent Smith, 77, died Oct. 15, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Chip Stevens, the Rev. Clifton Curtis and Dr. Mike Barnett. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. following services at Richland Cemetery in Richland. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the church. Welch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Smith was born in Strong Hope, to the late Floyd Victor Brent Sr. and Melissa Mae Brent. She was formerly employed as a teacher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Floyd Victor Brent Jr.; and sister, Donnis Brent Matthews. She is survived by her husband, David Bernard Smith; sons, Allan Livingston Smith and Nathan Bryant Smith; brothers, Kenneth Ray Brent, Cecil Paul Brent and John Edward Brent; sister, Dale Brent Granger; and three grandchildren.
