Annette Partain

Annette C. Partain, 89, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle.
Visitation was Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service followed at 11:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was at Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS.
Mrs. Partain was born February 28, 1933, to the late Connie Mae Murff Clarkson and Clifford McCord Clarkson. She was married to Grady Partain on January 6, 1952, in Aberdeen, MS; they were married for 62 ½ years. She loved to travel and attended regular meetings with her O.E.S. family. She also loved her Ramona Crigler Sunday School class, and she dearly loved her family.
In addition to her parents and late husband, Mrs. Partain is preceded in death by her brothers; Cyril Clarkson, Stephen Clarkson and Willard Clarkson.
Mrs. Partain is survived by her daughters, Donna (Reed) Cooper and Libby (Jackie) Burks; her brother, Charles (Billie) Clarkson; grandchildren, Matthew (Lindsey) Burks, Caroline (Matt) Grainger and Jared Cooper; great-grandaughter, Leighton Burks; step-granddaughters, Tracee Cooper (Tom) Pauly, Melissa Cooper and Christee Cooper Holbrook; step-great-grandchildren, Jake Pauly, Tyler Pauly, Anna-Claire Cooper, Madison Holbrook, Megan Holbrook and Morgan Holbrook.
Pallbearers were Terry Burks, Jared Cooper, Pat Adair, Scott Adair, Don Harris and Stan Rector.
Honorary pallbearers were Bobbie Banks, Kathleen Burnett, Methodist Senior Services (Trinity) Staff, members of Columbus Chapter #53, O.E.S., Will Dupler and caregiver Lula McCradic.
