
Adine Pennington
MILLPORT, Ala. — Adine Atkins Pennington, 75, died Jan. 19, 2022, at her residence.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel, with Roger Lucas and Luke Bozeman officiating. Graveside services and burial will follow at Millport City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the cemetery. Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pennington was born Feb. 21, 1946, in Lamar County, to the late Samuel Grover and Linnia Virginia Fields Atkins. She was formerly employed with Millport Manufacturing and was a member of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Pennington; and siblings, James Floyd Atkins Sr., William Smith Atkins, James Hanford “Hamp” Fields, William Ellis “Billy” Atkins, Bobby Ray Atkins, Doyle Mason “PeeWee” Atkins, and Marguerite Atkins Brown; and one grandchild.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Fields, Kristy Humber, and Tonya Richards of Millport; sibling, Sam Atkins of Great Falls, Montana; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Greg Fields, Keith Fields, Holden Fields, Jake Leonard, Brad Crowley, and Tylan Hardin.
