Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a residential burglary suspect.
A burglar broke into a residence on North Ridgeland Circle Friday afternoon, said Sheriff Eddie Hawkins. The neighborhood is north of Ridgeland Superette convenience store.
The suspect was last seen driving a green Toyota Tundra with green rims, Hawkins said.
Hawkins said a home security camera caught the man in the act, a still shot from which LCSO has released publicly.
“(Home security systems) are a tremendous help,” he said. “We make a lot of arrests thanks to the footage they provide. The homeowners don’t know the suspect, and we haven’t been able to identify him yet.”
Anyone who can identify the person or knows who the driver or owner of the vehicle is, or anyone with additional information, can contact the LCSO at 662-328-6788 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 800-530-7151. Tips can also be submitted with the P3 Tips smartphone app.
Tipsters remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information leads to an arrest.
