The Golden Triangle Development LINK is excited to announce that Chief Operating Officer Meryl Fisackerly has graduated from a nine-week leadership training program at the Appalachian Leadership Institute. The program concluded on July 28 at a graduation ceremony held in Washington, D.C.
Fisackerly said that she looks forward to bringing the new relationships and training she gained to the Golden Triangle in a press release on Aug. 1.
The program teaches its fellows how to create positive change in their communities through nine months of three virtual and in-person sessions and case study analysis. Fisackerly learned alongside representatives of other industries ranging from education, health care, economic development and public service.
“Having a representative like Meryl in the class helps show the region just what kind of young leadership talent is in Mississippi and for that reason, our future is bright,” LINK Chief Executive Officer Joe Max Higgins said in the release.
