COVID-19 vaccinations at Fairview Baptist Church in Columbus and the Mississippi Horse Park in Oktibbeha County that were scheduled for today are canceled.
Lowndes County Emergency Management Director Cindy Lawrence said make-up vaccinations will be held Friday and Feb. 26, while Oktibbeha County Emergency Management Director Kristin Campanella said canceled vaccinations at the Horse Park will be made up on Saturday and possibly Sunday.
Vaccinations were canceled Monday through Wednesday at Fairview Baptist. The Lowndes site offers vaccination by appointment Monday through Thursday. The Horse Park offers shots by appointment Wednesdays through Fridays.
“Anyone who had their vaccination canceled will be rescheduled and notified by whatever method they registered with,” Campanella said. “If you registered by email, you’ll get an email or by phone, with a text notifying you of your new appointment.”
The Mississippi State Department of Health is waiting until Wednesday evening to determine the status of Thursday’s vaccinations.
