Investigators with Columbus Police Department are asking the public to be on the lookout for a person of interest in a Monday homicide.
Columbus Police Chief Fred Shelton identified the individual as Jatavis Deonte Williams, 21, of Columbus. Investigators are searching for him in connection with the shooting death of Tarcari Tyshun Walker, 24, who died at a home near the intersection of Seventh Avenue North and 22nd Street Monday after apparently becoming involved in an argument with a driver on the street.
According to a CPD press release, Williams is a Black man about six feet, two inches tall and approximately 170 pounds.
Anyone with information on Williams’ whereabouts is asked to call Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 800-530-7151.
