Lisa Halverson’s dream is coming to fruition.
By August, Halverson will officially open her new storefront, Mudd Dobbers Vintage Shop, in Columbus.
Near Chucky Chuck’s Ice Cream, Mudd Dobbers is located at Holly Hills Plaza at 3189 Hwy. 45 N. Suite D and will be open Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
“This is like a dream come true for me,” Halverson said. “I love to take old vintage pieces and bring them back to life. … God has surely blessed me beyond measure.”
Mudd Dobbers offers customers refurbished furniture, home decor, antiques, handmade items and more.
“I have tried to add a little bit of everything to this shop so that everyone can find something special,” Halverson said. “I’m so excited to meet new customers and help create their space.”
More business news in Columbus — Sey’s Sports Bar, 2118 Hwy. 45 Suite 5, in Columbus is officially for sale.
Josh Hogan, a representative of the company, confirmed the sale to The Dispatch.
Owners, Sey Brett and Moui Chue, are preparing for retirement and hoping someone purchases the bar and grill, Hogan said.
“It’s been building here and we’re just looking to sell it to someone who can continue on with this business,” he added.
Sey’s first opened in Columbus at Leigh Mall in 2005 before moving to its current location. If anyone is interested in continuing Sey’s in Columbus, give Hogan a call at 662-251-4887.
Speaking of Leigh Mall, Bath and Body Works is officially open again. Get your soaps, hand sanitizers and more at Bath and Body Works Monday through Saturday 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sundays 1-6 p.m.
It’s the perfect time, with all things considered, to be outside. With everything else in our lives, there’s an app for that.
Global Outdoors, a new app on the market, was developed by a Columbus trio to increase people’s experience when they’re exploring the outdoors.
It was founded by Mark Alexander along with his son, Mark Alexander Jr. and Wade Leonard.
The app lists thousands of outdoor experiences where users can review and rate various outdoor activities.
“I travel all over the world, and I noticed that it’s easy to find information about hotels or restaurants or just about anything, but it’s extremely difficult to find information on the internet about places to hunt or fish,” Alexander said in a press release. “A handful of people have websites, but many do not, and many outfitters and business owners rely entirely upon word of mouth. I thought it would be great if I could find all outdoor experiences on one platform, similarly to the way I can find information about hotels or airlines.”
Global Outdoors is completely free to use. For more information, you can visit www.globaloutdoors.com
