A Brandon man was charged with capital murder Tuesday for the death of a woman found in a burned mobile home last month.
Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Graves, 27, with the murder of Joyce Bostick, 60, according to an OCSO press release. Bostick was found dead in a partially burned mobile home on Sykes Road, west of Starkville, on May 13. Deputies discovered Bostick’s body while responding to a welfare concern call.
Oktibbeha County Coroner Michael Hunt said Thursday he still could not release the official cause of death.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, the MBI Crime Scene Unit and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are all assisting OCSO in the investigation.
Graves is currently in custody at Oktibbeha County Jail. Bond was denied.
