A Columbus woman was arrested for allegedly biting and punching a child.
Jasmine Jalesha Shanklin, 29, of Read Drive, was charged with felony child abuse, according to a Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office press release. Investigators arrested her Monday after she reportedly bit and punched a child under the age of 12.
The press release did not say how Shanklin knew the child.
Shanklin has been released from Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
