A Gulfport man was arrested in Clay County Tuesday after he allegedly attacked another man with a knife.
Steven Riley, 56, has been charged with aggravated assault manifesting in extreme indifference to life, according to a Clay County Sheriff’s Office press release.
The press release said Riley attacked the man around midnight Tuesday on West Hazelwood Road, just east of Highway 45 Alternate. The victim, who had “multiple lacerations” was taken to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries and later released. Officers took Riley into custody a couple of hours later, according to Clay County jail records.

Riley’s bond has not been set. He is currently in custody at Clay County Detention Center.
