Starkville Police Department arrested three suspects in two separate incidents of assault on Sunday and Monday.
On Sunday, police arrested Karl Baker, 56, of Starkville, on suspicion of aggravated assault. According to police, Baker tried to hit a male victim with a car and then tried to hit him with a baseball bat. The incident happened at 3:15 p.m. in an apartment complex parking lot on East Garrard Road. Baker was booked into the Oktibbeha County Jail, where he’s being held on $5,000 bond.
In a separate incident, police arrested two other men on assault charges.
Police responded to a disturbance at an apartment on Yellow Jacket Drive at 7:06 a.m. Monday, and arrested Terron Neal, 25, and Joshua Ulmer, 32, on suspicion of domestic violence-aggravated assault.
According to an affidavit The Dispatch obtained from Starkville Municipal Court, Ulmer cut Neal with a knife on his right pinky finger and also used a tequila bottle that was shattered against a wall. Neal, according to the affidavit, cut Ulmer on the right side of his chin and lip with a knife.
Neal and Ulmer are in a dating relationship.
Both were booked into the Oktibbeha County Jail. They are both out after posting $5,000 bond each.
