Residents of the former Bluefield Water Association are under a boil water notice through 5 p.m. Monday, Starkville Utilities announced Thursday.
The notice affects customers west of the Highway 25 bypass and south of Highway 182.
Area residents should boil their water for at least two minutes prior to consumption or washing uncooked foods.
A water main break in the area sent crews to work for most of the day, and service was restored late Thursday night.
For more information, call the utility company at 662-323-3133.
