An east Oktibbeha County home was destroyed after a Sunday fire gutted the property.
First responders from East Oktibbeha and Bell Schoolhouse volunteer fire departments were dispatched to 337 West Sand Creek Road about 5:41 a.m. for the blaze.
The entire structure and an exterior propane tank were fully engulfed when firefighters arrived, said Oktibbeha County Fire Services Coordinator Kirk Rosenhan.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, he said, but the home was a total loss.
An occupant was at the home at the time of the fire but was able to escape without injury, he said.
The fire’s cause is still undetermined, and the incident remains under investigation.
