A man was sent to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle on Thursday morning after being struck by a car in New Hope about 6:45 a.m.
The driver of the car, Jabaris Cox, was rounding a corner on Miley Road and became blinded by the sun before hitting Lastrata Owens, according to Major Billy Woods with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.
