STARKVILLE — A man wanted for an April armed robbery at a Dollar General has turned himself in.
Tyler Hunter, 20, of Starkville, was wanted in connection to an armed robbery at the Dollar General at 387 Ruth Road on April 26 of this year. He turned himself in at around midnight Saturday, according to Starkville Police Department Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady.
During the robbery, an armed and masked man entered the store and demanded money from employees at about 8:04 p.m. The suspect fled on foot with the cash drawer, and there were no injuries, according to a Starkville Police Department press release issued on the same day.
SPD put out another release encouraging Hunter to turn himself in on May 5, saying the department had an active warrant for his arrest.
Lovelady said the stolen cash has not been recovered.
