First responders in Starkville and Oktibbeha County will take part in a real-world simulation at Starkville High School around 1:30 p.m. today, Starkville-Oktibbeha Consolidated School District Public Information Officer Haley Montgomery told The Dispatch.
The simulation will include a mock traffic accident at the south end of the SHS campus on the soccer practice field. There will be a “real-world response” from emergency vehicles with sirens, and there will be a helicopter.
This event is not open to the public and is part of an assembly for SHS juniors and seniors. It is not an actual emergency.
