A woman has been arrested after allegedly shooting her boyfriend, according to Sheriff Eddie Hawkins.
Destiny Keyara Moore, 22, has been charged with attempted murder, Hawkins said.
Deputies responded to a domestic violence call around 9 p.m. Monday at Yorkville Apartments on Yorkville Road East, Hawkins said.
When they arrived they found a male victim with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle with non-life-threatening injuries.
Hawkins said Moore was arrested on the scene, and the gun used in the shooting was recovered.
Moore was still in custody at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center as of press time.
