Duchess Yeates, a student at Sudduth Elementary School, and her dad, David Yeates, have written a book titled “My Dada and Me.”
The book was published by Tellwell Talent and is selling in stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, Books-a-Million, and Amazon.
Duchess was born on March 28, 2016, at Oktibbeha County Hospital. She loves to read, write, and play with her dolls. She loves the outdoors, and her favorite place is the beach. Her favorite food is alfredo pasta, and her favorite dessert is a cupcake.
Duchess was a student at Laurel Magnet School and Oak Park Elementary School in Laurel before coming to Sudduth Elementary.
She loves to help others and go on missions with her dad to provide meals and essentials to homeless people. She has a strong desire to serve those who are in need.
When Duchess grows up, she wants to become a medical doctor to help people get well.
Starkville-Oktibbeha Consolidated School District will recognize Duchess and her dad during halftime at Starkville High School’s Friday night football game, where there will also be a book signing.
The city of Starkville is also proclaiming Friday as Duchess Day in Starkville.
