STARKVILLE — A McCool man faces multiple charges after forcing a woman into a vehicle.
Starkville police arrested Andrew Macon, 32, on Monday for kidnapping, possession of a weapon by a felon, simple assault-domestic violence and disorderly conduct.
Officers received calls about the incident and initially made contact with the victim at a hotel on Highway 182, SPD Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady said. The victim reported that following a physical altercation earlier Monday, Macon had forced her into a vehicle. She had minor injuries but refused medical attention.
Macon attempted to flee officers on foot, Lovelady said, but he was arrested on Apple Street.
Police believe the incident was domestic.
He is currently being held in Oktibbeha County Jail with bond set at $408,000.
