An Oktibbeha County man has been arrested for breaking into a home and holding the resident at gunpoint.
Brandon Brown, 21, was arrested for breaking and entering a unit on Rocky Road in the Aspen Heights Apartment Complex. Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office detained Brown at about 7 a.m. Tuesday on the property after the victim called 911. The incident occurred shortly before the arrest.
OCSO Capt. Brett Watson said Brown and the victim did not know each other. He said the victim suffered from minor injuries.
Brown’s charges include burglary, burglary of an inner door, aggravated assault and kidnapping as a result of the victim unable to leave their house. His bond is set at $800,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
