The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a Steens man who allegedly shot a house several times, according to Sheriff Eddie Hawkins.
Jermaine Lowe, 34, is at large and is wanted for shooting into an occupied dwelling and cyberstalking.
Hawkins said the shooting happened at about 9:20 p.m. Sunday. Deputies responded to a call of shots being fired into a residence on Pounds Road, which is off of Sand Road in Steens. Investigators found both shell casings and bullet holes in the house.
Nobody was hurt, Hawkins said.
Lowe once lived at that residence with his then-girlfriend, Hawkins said. The two had argued earlier in the day.
Lowe has a lengthy history with the law, Hawkins said, including 19 felony arrests and 44 misdemeanors.
Most of those arrests were drug-related or weapon possession by a felon, Hawkins said.
“While this was not a random shooting, we need to find Lowe and lock him up as soon as possible,” Hawkins said. “He is armed, and should be considered dangerous.”
