Police have identified a suspect in the Nov. 1 shooting death of a Macon man on Northside.
Kingduron Baku Pyle, 19, of Columbus is being sought on a murder charge in connection with the case, according to a police department press release. He is described as a Black male, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing 168 pounds.
Officers found Shad Reese, 23, at 2:40 a.m. shot dead in the front seat of a vehicle on 10th Avenue North near Union Academy. Investigators found one shell casing at the scene.
Police Chief Fred Shelton told The Dispatch it appears Reese was meeting Pyle to illegally buy a firearm.
Shelton said Columbus police ascertained the suspect’s identity with the help of a neighborhood watch camera installed in the area.
