A Lowndes County man has been arrested following a Wednesday altercation with his father involving a knife.
Joe Fenton Jr., 37, is charged with domestic violence-aggravated assault, a felony, as well as misdemeanor trespassing and disorderly conduct.
Lowndes County sheriff’s deputies responded at about 6:32 p.m. to 71 Scott Drive near New Hope, where they found the victim with bloody hands, as well as cuts and scratches on his hands, chest and back that appeared to be knife wounds, a sheriff’s office press release said. All injuries were non life-threatening.
The suspect had left the scene before deputies arrived, but he was later located and arrested. He is being held in Lowndes County Adult Detention Center. His bond has not been set.
