A homeowner used physical force to aid police in capturing four teens accused of a Thursday morning home burglary.
Dyshun Washington, 18, and three teenage minors were arrested for the residential burglary on Beech Street, where Columbus Police Chief Fred Shelton said the suspects entered the home and stole primarily video games and consoles.
Officers responded to the scene at about 9:30 a.m., after the homeowner caught one of the juveniles outside the home and physically restrained him until police arrived. Officers quickly searched the area, found the other three suspects and recovered all the stolen items.
Washington is being held in Lowndes County Adult Detention Center. The others will be processed in juvenile court, Shelton said.
