COLUMBUS — Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle was recently designated an Aetna Institute of Quality Cardiac Care Facility for comprehensive heart and vascular treatment.
This designation recognizes hospitals and facilities in Aetna’s network that offer specialized clinical services for certain health conditions and consistently deliver evidence-based, safe care.
“Our team works hard to deliver high-quality, comprehensive cardiac care to people in our region,” said Baptist Golden Triangle Associate Administrator Kayla Pruitt.
“The Aetna Institute of Quality Designation is the result of continuous performance improvement from our team and attention to consistent outcomes for our cardiac patients.”
Aetna makes information about the quality and cost of healthcare services available to its members to help them make informed decisions about their health care needs.
Baptist Golden Triangle offers a full range of cardiac diagnostic services to identify and treat heart disease. These services include invasive procedures, such as the transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and other forms of cardiac surgery and noninvasive procedures like stress tests and HEART score tests.
With 315 beds, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle is one of the largest regional hospitals affiliated with the Memphis, Tennessee-based Baptist Memorial Health Care system. More than 100 physicians and surgeons, representing almost every medical specialty, practice at the hospital, which offers a full range of comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages.
In addition to Baptist Cancer Center locations in Columbus and Starkville, the hospital offers a variety of other services, including Baptist Behavioral Health Care for those with behavioral and mental health problems, an extensive rehabilitation department, and free community education programs for the public. Baptist Golden Triangle is the only hospital in Mississippi and one of only 27 in the U.S. to have achieved straight A’s in Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Score since 2012.
