Columbus investigators are searching for a vehicle involved in a shooting at McDonald’s in East Columbus early Christmas morning.
The suspect or suspects inside a black Chrysler 300 opened fire at the side of the McDonald’s on Alabama Street just after midnight on Saturday, according to a Columbus Police Department press release. The shots broke out some glass, which struck an employee who was “slightly injured,” the release said.
Investigators said the suspect fired shots after becoming involved in an argument with employees over payment, the release said. There were three Black males and one Black female occupant, and the car had dark-tinted windows.
“We are not sure which person did the shooting, so we are looking for the car,” Chief Fred Shelton said in the press release. “… Call us anonymously and give us a tip. We don’t want the caller’s name, just the information.”
Anyone with information on the incident can call CPD at 662-244-3552 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 800-530-7151, or report a tip on the P3 phone application.
