A Caledonia man was jailed last week after allegedly harassing someone through social media.
Anthony Dewayne Smith, 31, was charged with cyberstalking on June 19, according to a Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office press release. The victim in the case reported Smith had been harassing them through social media, even after the victim told him to stop contacting them.
Smith has been released from Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
In a separate case, deputies also arrested Nicholas Lenard Turner, 41, of Columbus, on five counts of fraudulent use of ID.
According to an LCSO press release, Turner had been using a stolen credit card to make purchases at multiple businesses in the Columbus area.
Turner has been released from jail on $12,500 bond.
