Mississippi State University kicker Jace Christmann was arrested early Saturday morning for driving under the influence.
Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Jon Davis said Christmann, 21, was arrested at 3:50 a.m. after being stopped on Bardwell Road for failing to dim his brights. While stopped, Christmann was tested for blood alcohol content. Davis declined to release the specific blood alcohol content finding, but said it was over Mississippi’s legal limit of 0.08 by “very little.”
Christmann was booked in the Oktibbeha County Jail, where he bonded out later that morning on $1,680 total bail.
Christmann, a Houston, Texas native, has made 24 of 30 field goal attempts in his two years playing for Mississippi State. He was a perfect 83-for-83 on extra point attempts for the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
