No one was injured during a minor collision between a Coleman Head Start Center bus and a Columbus Municipal School District bus Thursday afternoon in east Columbus.
The accident occurred about 4 p.m. on Wynhurst Court when the Head Start bus backed into the CMSD bus, which was not moving, Columbus Public Information Officer Joe Dillon said. There were 10 children on the Head Start bus and 20 children on the CMSD bus.
Head Start’s policy is to have children in bus accidents taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Dillon said. However, each of the children were released without having to be treated.
