A Caledonia man is in jail after he allegedly tried to run his girlfriend’s sister’s vehicle off the road Sunday.
Cory Trent Bullard, 30, of 218 Thomas Circle, has been charged with aggravated assault manifesting in extreme indifference to life.
Deputies with Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office arrested Bullard Sunday after a woman reported she was driving on Highway 12 near the Alabama border when Bullard pulled up beside her in his car and began driving aggressively, yelling and threatening her, according to LCSO investigators. She said Bullard then pulled in behind her and rear-ended her vehicle.
While the driver did not lose control of the vehicle, investigators said, she could have.
The victim was not injured and pulled over at the Old Country Store in Steens where she called 911.
Investigators said the victim was on her way to help Bullard’s girlfriend move out of his house when he began driving alongside her.
Bullard is in custody at Lowndes County Adult Detention Center where his bond has not been set.
