A Starkville man was arrested this weekend in connection with a shooting earlier this month.
Jerome Davis, 21, has been charged with aggravated assault after officers with Starkville Police Department arrested him Sunday, according to a SPD press release.
Police responded to a call of shots fired near 1275 Stark Road just after 11 p.m. on Oct. 13, the press release said. No injuries were reported in the shooting.
Starkville police told The Dispatch that while no additional charges are expected for Davis, a separate arrest warrant has been issued for another individual for misdemeanor simple assault in a related incident that happened before the shooting.
Davis has been released from Oktibbeha County Jail on $5,000 bond.
Authorities are asking anyone with more information on the shooting to call SPD at 662-323-4131 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
