Columbus Police Department is investigating a burglary at a local pawn shop.
The burglary occurred at Possum Town Pawn and Gun early in the morning on July 30, according to a press release from CPD. Two suspects apparently broke into the pawn shop by smashing a glass door on the east side of the building.
CPD on Tuesday released video surveillance footage of the incident, which showed two suspects breaking into the glass cases in the shop and loading multiple handguns into black trash bags. Both suspects were black males with white cloths covering their faces. One suspect was shirtless and wearing blue shorts. The other was dressed in an orange striped shirt and light colored pants.
Police are asking anyone with information on the burglary to call CPD at 662-244-3552 or Crimestoppers at -1-800-530-7151.
