One man is behind bars and another sent to the hospital after a knife attack Saturday.
Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office responded to 108 McCarter Lane in Steens Saturday at about 11:30 a.m. in response to an aggravated assault. There they arrested Nicholas Allen Taylor, 24, who lives at that address. According to LCSO Capt. Ryan Rickert, Taylor attacked his mother’s boyfriend with a knife.
The attack sent the victim to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle where he is in stable condition, Rickert said.
Taylor was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon. He is in custody at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center with bond set at $50,000.
