A Columbus woman was arrested Monday for allegedly cutting a romantic partner with a box cutter.
Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office took Patricia Ann Moody, 43, of 102 South Browder St., No. 75, into custody Monday afternoon and charged her with domestic violence aggravated assault, LCSO Capt. Ryan Rickert said.
Ryan Rickert said Moody had gotten into a fight with a romantic partner over the weekend during a drive. Both Moody and the victim were passengers in a vehicle on Highway 45 South when they began arguing. During the argument, Moody cut the victim with a sharp-edged weapon, which the victim identified as a boxcutter. The driver then let the victim out a nearby gas station where he called 911.
The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, but he did require stitches, Rickert said.
Moody is in custody at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center. Her bond has not been set.
