Investigators with the Columbus Police Department are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed East Side Chevron in Columbus Thursday night.
Shortly after 8 p.m., a black male with his face covered entered the Chevron, located on Idlewild Road and pointed a gun at the clerk, according to a CPD press release. The clerk and one customer were in the store.
The suspect fled the scene on foot, heading east, with an undisclosed amount of money, according to Capt. Brent Swan with the CPD. No one was hurt in the robbery.
Investigators are reviewing the store’s video surveillance footage from the incident.
Authorities have asked anyone with information to call the Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151 or the Columbus Reward Line at 1-877-273-4552. Those with information may receive a $5,000 reward.
