Officers with the Columbus Police Department arrested another suspect Friday in connection to the robberies of several pizza delivery men last week.
Jeremy Rashad Knight, 17, of 187 N. Lehmberg Road, is in custody on an armed robbery charge. Police say Knight allegedly robbed two different pizza delivery men on Dec. 4 and Dec. 5.
In the Dec. 4 incident, multiple robbers allegedly took a pizza, a cellphone and roughly $38 from a Papa John’s delivery driver on 18th Street North. The next evening, a Domino’s pizza delivery driver reported being held at gunpoint and having a pizza and about $25 in cash stolen.
Municipal Court Judge Rhonda Ellis set Knight’s bond at $100,000.
This is the fourth arrest police have made in the robberies, which also included an attempted robbery of a Domino’s pizza delivery driver on Dec. 3 near East Manor Drive.
Last week, police charged 16-year-old Casimir Poe and an unidentified 12-year-old with two counts each of armed robbery.
Police also arrested 18-year-old Tone Lamar Hill and charged him with conspiracy to commit armed robbery. He was released last week after posting a $25,000 bond.
Under Mississippi law, Knight and Poe can both be charged as adults despite being minors.
CPD is still investigating the case. Cpl. Timothy Jenkins said more arrests may follow.
