An Aberdeen man is still behind bars after he allegedly stole an all-terrain vehicle from a Columbus business.
Columbus police arrested James Christopher Stanley, 40, of 514 W. Monroe St., on Sunday on suspicion of grand larceny, according to a CPD press release.
Officers were alerted at about 6:14 a.m. to a suspect leaving the area of The Boat Gallery, located at 3500 Bluecutt Road, on a Yamaha Wolverine side-by-side ATV. They found the vehicle on Carr Road after it had been damaged from crashing into a fire hydrant. Officers searched the area and found Stanley attempting to flee on foot.
Authorities returned the vehicle to The Boat Gallery.
Municipal Judge Rhonda Ellis set Stanley’s bond at $10,000.
