Columbus Municipal Court Judge Gary Goodwin has set the bond for a murder suspect at $1 million, according to a press release from the Columbus Police Department.
Darrion Walls, 27, of Columbus, was arrested Thursday in the shooting death of Deanthony Jones, 23. Jones was shot outside Sandfield One Stop, which is near Propst Park, late Tuesday night and was pronounced dead at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Walls turned himself in to CPD Thursday after police circulated a press release asking for information on Walls’ whereabouts.
Walls remains in custody at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
