A Columbus man faces numerous charges after he allegedly shoplifted at Vowell’s Marketplace Tuesday.
Starkville police officers were dispatched to the grocery store yesterday for a shoplifting in progress.
There, they arrested Bobby Denis Baker, 37, of Columbus, and transported him to Starkville Police Department.
He was then served with previous warrants for shoplifting and simple assault. A felony shoplifting charge was added.
Baker was transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail, where he will await his initial appearance in Starkville Municipal Court today at 2 p.m.
SPD released no further information about the incident or arrest.
