Two Columbus men have been indicted for their alleged roles in a June 2 drive-by shooting and another has been indicted for an April hit-and-run that killed a woman.
Jarvis Louis Alexander, 23, of 2203 Hughes Lane, and Kenny Riheam Armistad, 20, of 107 Florence St., both face three felony charges: aggravated assault; drive-by shooting; and shooting into a dwelling.
The shooting took place on the 1600 block of Seventh Avenue South around 9 a.m. on June 2. The victim, Charles Owen, was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle after being shot in the foot, according to authorities.
Alexander and Armistad turned themselves into police without incident the day of the crime, according to authorities.
Their cases were presented before a Lowndes County grand jury in October.
The grand jury also returned a true bill against Terrance McBride for felony hit-and-run charges.
McBride is alleged to be the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed Eva Richards, 50, as she walked along Seventh Avenue North, near the intersection of 17th Street North, about 9 p.m. on April 7.
Leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death is a felony with a maximum possible penalty of 5 years in prison.
All the men have February trial dates scheduled.
